The Ultimate Winner

[The upcoming novel "[Wuxia Crossover] The Yellow Springs Inn" is below] Blurb: My name is Hao, and I also go by Ye Wang. I used to be a great demon king, but now I'm making an absolutely glorious fresh start. There are two reasons for my change of heart. First, I received the memories of my counterpart from a parallel world. Second, you can call me Kudo Hao for now. Yes, I have a detective older brother. He's a frail, unlucky human, and a fool who took in and raised a great demon king who'd been scamming people on the street. (That's me.) As a great demon king, I could have breezed through the Shaman Fight, but my frail detective brother said I had to show good sportsmanship. For the curry bread he offered me, I reluctantly decided to listen to him. As you can see, I became the God of Souls. Great! Now I don't have to get dragged off to work by some hellish corporate drone of an assistant. I'll tidy up and head home for dinner. The next moment, I realized I'd taken the wrong road home. There was a guy with a topknot in front of me, apparently about to lose his way at a crossroads in life. He told me he wanted to kill all ordinary people and create a world of jujutsu sorcerers. My grand dream of being strangled to death by my frail detective brother flared right back to life. I immediately stepped forward, full of confidence. "Hey, buddy, want to join my crew?" P.S. My all-around pink-haired best friend, please make sure my detective brother stays calm until I get back. P.P.S. Could you ask my detective brother something for me? In the parallel world, I met a blond-haired, dark-skinned, god-tier wage-slave friend of his from school. Should I drag him out before the explosion? Reader's guide and warnings: 1. [Important] The characters are extremely out of character, the plot takes wild turns, and the imagination runs rampant. Characters from many old anime series make appearances, and the author's imagination sets the limit for their intelligence. If the characterization is off, it's because I'm a bad writer. I'm really bad. If this bothers you, it's my fault, not the characters'. 2. The main story is in third person. The protagonist has no romantic pairing; decide for yourself about the others. 3. Its windows are made of colored glass, its roof tiles of jade, its decorations of fine jade, and its beams of gold. Covered walkways wind beneath its green eaves, while a clear stream meanders past flowers painted red. The inn is beautiful, but no one ever visits. The owner holds his cat and waits day after day, until at last his first guest arrives. Young Master Lin, whose entire family was wiped out by the Qingcheng Sect, had nowhere left to turn. One evening, he rushed into the inn and met its young owner. The boy's brows held a hint of charm. Calmly, he asked, "Where have you come from?" Young Master Lin looked utterly hopeless and grief-stricken. "If I enter this door, will I descend to the Yellow Springs? Can I see my parents and friends who died so tragically?" Owner: "???" Owner: "Hey, buddy, what are you trying to do?" Owner: "This is a legitimate inn. I filed all the paperwork with the Time Administration Bureau. Don't get me in trouble!" As the owner and his guest argued, pursuers arrived outside the inn. Just then, golden lantern flowers bloomed in profusion on both banks of the clear stream before the inn, vivid as blood. The assassin looked up and saw four characters on the inn's sign: The Yellow Springs Inn. Later, a troublesome guest dressed in a scarlet robe asked the owner with a grin, "Why would you give a perfectly good inn in the land of the living such a name from the underworld?" The young owner replied, "Because there's really a direct shuttle to the Yellow Springs here." *Wuxia and folklore mythology, with all kinds of unusual crossover settings. Lots of original worldbuilding, and the characters will probably be out of character. Theme: Let all living things beneath the frosty sky strive to be free.
