[Genshin Impact] A Leisurely Stroll Through the Mortal Realm? I’m Back from Retirement!

[Prepublication: "I Am the Heavenly Principles. What Do You Want?" Coming this Mid-Autumn Festival!]

[Main story complete, bonus chapters ongoing.]

[Content warning: Chapters 40-55 contain original plot. Readers who aren't interested may skip them. This is a plot-driven mystery story with many foreshadowed clues and hidden threads early on. The story will return to the world of the Holy Grail later, with plenty of original content, so don't be in too much of a hurry!]

[Synopsis]

After a thousand years of hard work and less than three years of retirement, the retired Geo Archon, Mr. Zhongli, transmigrated.

To find a way back to Teyvat, he made "fair" contracts with all sorts of people.

But as Mr. Zhongli continued his leisurely wanderings through the mortal realms of another world, he discovered that among world consciousnesses, there was no such thing as unreliable, only more unreliable.

"Since we have a contract, you may discuss with me anything that falls within its terms."

Mr. Zhongli had originally only wanted to help his Holy Grail classmate cleanse away the filth of the Outer Gods, but he increasingly felt that something was amiss with these other worlds...

Unending slaughter, temporal affairs that twisted history, books that ensnared people in beautiful dreams, humans in pursuit of immortality...

"By common rationality, this is indeed quite difficult to handle..."

The elegant consultant took a sip of sweet tea and spoke unhurriedly.

A certain Holy Grail, a certain book, a certain government office, a certain high-purity alcohol, and a crowd of damp people looked on and silently gave their approval.

"Mr. Zhongli, how about considering a rehire with a transfer to another department? We can double whatever the Heavenly Principles are offering."

Thus spoke the world consciousness.

[Warnings]

1. Some worlds' supporting characters will have plenty of scenes.

2. Contains physical descriptions of the Outer Gods. They are not personified.

3. There is a lot of original content. If you feel something is out of character, that's on me.

4. If I suddenly discover a plot hole, I'll patch it with later events, but some things really are foreshadowing qaq.

[Prepublication: "The Raiden Family in Beika Town"]

The people of Beika Town would never forget this day.

A whole family of purple-themed people, all with the exact same aesthetic, moved in next door to the famously kind Dr. Agasa.

From then on, a quiet residential neighborhood became a place of physically loud chaos.

First, there was Scaramouche, a rebellious, snarky eldest son at home.

"A broken-winged bird cannot withstand the blows of the world, but compared to a god who turns a blind eye, I still prefer a bird whose wings have yet to fully grow."

Raiden Sakura: My deepest apologies. My brother Scaramouche means that he'd rather be around children than listen to adults spout nonsense.

Then there was the scheming pink fox aunt.

"Oh my, if you really want to recruit me, how about letting me sit in the top position in your organization for a few days, just for fun?"

Raiden Sakura: I'm so sorry. Aunt Miko means no harm. She just thinks your people are a little too arrogant.

And Raiden Ei, the head of the family, who had never once shown her face.

"Light novels and milk dango... Inazuma really is beautiful and peaceful... Hmm? A criminal! The light of the gods shall be unforgiving!!"

Raiden Sakura: I am so, so sorry!!! We'll fix everything!!!

And Raiden Sakura, running after her family to clean up their messes.

"Being needed by my big brother, Mom, and Aunt Miko... Little Sakura is already so happy!"

[Before You Read]

2. Basically a lighthearted comedy. No angst.

3. Any out-of-character behavior is my fault.
