One day, the magical little lizard suddenly went missing. Anxiously searching through the rain, Banxia found a grown man deep in a bamboo grove, soaked to the skin, with scales still clinging to his ankles.

The man lay in agony among the bamboo leaves, his pale fingers covering his face. His voice was hoarse and trembling. “Don't come closer. Don't look at me...”

So Banxia did not look at him. She held an umbrella over him, sheltering him from the raging storm all night long.

I do not want to see him weep in the depths of winter again,

nor can I bear to watch him flee the world, wounded from head to toe.

A kindred spirit is hard to find in this world. If I let him go, there will be no one by my side.
