Forgive Me, I'm Just a Cat

I'm no good at writing blurbs, so here's a plainspoken introduction:

The overall tone is light and cheerful. Though there are some small bumps and unfair moments in everyday life, there are no major schemes. It's an urban slice-of-life story told from a cat's perspective.

At its heart is the story of the cat master. The cat's patrols of its territory link the narrative together, with parrot Xiaohua, Ta Xue, a stray kitten adopted by Li Shurong, Li Xiaowen, a girl with night blindness, a retired family of senior faculty from the teaching and research department, a middle-aged woman who lost her son, a Black foreign lecturer at a university, and the rambunctious Husky Pachi all playing their parts. Along the way, little stories unfold during the cat's patrols.

There are no pairings in this story. The protagonist is a cat and never turns into a person. It's a lighthearted story with a wholesome outlook, no angst, and plenty of cute and funny moments to discover for yourself. This is my first book, my beloved, irreplaceable favorite, and I hope you'll enjoy it too.

This is my first book, and it has its shortcomings, but it's also my cherished favorite, the moonlight in my heart and a treasured cinnabar mole. I wholeheartedly recommend it, and sincerely hope you'll enjoy this story.

I've read Back to the Cat and loved it. I'm also a fan of Ci Miao. But even though I like Back to the Cat, I don't want people saying mine is like it. You can say we're the same genre, but please don't say they're alike. My Majesty isn't highly intelligent, and the people and animals he meets are all ordinary. I've tried very hard to steer clear of Back to the Cat, but what else is there to write about in an urban animal story besides cats, dogs, birds, and people? Back to the Cat is a classic of the urban animal genre and covers a lot of ground, while mine is just a short story of two or three hundred thousand words.

Black Charcoal is very handsome, and I like him too. But please don't keep thinking about other people's cats when you're with my Majesty. Cats are very touchy.
