Synopsis

Jiang Yao was raised according to the standards for a crown princess. She is powerful and influential, accomplished in both letters and arms, and possesses a divine mirror that can see the future. Other than her frail health, she has little to trouble her.

Then one day, the mirror tells her she is about to die.

And after she dies, Nie Rang, the head of the shadow guards she raised from childhood, will return and stand watch at her grave without food or water for three days and nights. He will go mad.

A death soldier who had already turned over a new leaf takes up his old trade again, sneaks into the palace alone, and assassinates the young emperor, plunging the entire country into chaos.
