[Western Crossover] It's Hard to Stay Alive

Welin Windegu died on the last day of his eighteenth year, then came back to life on the day he turned nineteen.

In all his years up to then, even when he was homeless or forced to rummage through trash cans for food alongside stray dogs, he had never thought living could be this hard.

But within a week of being revived and bound to a System called An, he finally learned just how hard life could be.

Having a foul-mouthed, annoying System wasn't painful. Having to provoke people you couldn't afford to offend just to stay alive wasn't painful either. The painful part was that the people you provoked weren't human!

As he was chased by a group of demons, Welin finally understood. He stood on a rooftop, watching the streams of cars below.

Welin: I get it now. Living is too hard. I'd be better off dead.

An: ?????? Wait! What are you doing? Don't jump!

Welin: Let's be free together!

Just as Welin was about to leap, someone yanked him back from behind. He was saved, but his already-fraying T-shirt finally gave up the ghost.

Welin tugged at the tiny scrap of fabric left of his shirt. "...Hey, buddy, it's broad daylight. Isn't this a little inappropriate?"

Jason Todd: ...How is the quality of your clothes so terrible????

Content warning: This is a continuation of I Survived Today Too, but with different protagonists. The protagonist of I Survived Today Too does not appear much, but the System An in this story is the same "System."

Couple: Welin x Jason Todd

OOC always belongs to me. If you don't like it, feel free to leave, lovelies. Love you

Theme: The meaning of life is to keep moving forward. No matter how difficult the journey gets, as long as you never give up, you can build a bright future.
