Plucking a Star for You [Showbiz]

Chen Luoxi returned home to become a screenwriter, and her first attempt at stan culture ended with her falling for trainee Shi Yi.

Unfortunately, Shi Yi is a complete oddball in the idol world.

He loves the stage and works incredibly hard, but he's a pretty face with no talent.

Finally, on a murder mystery show based on a survival audition program, someone standing in the corner shone like a star.

His fans were stunned: "Bro, quit being an idol and go act!"

Chen Luoxi had carefully picked a script suited to Shi Yi: My boy has really made something of himself. So proud.jpg

As they filmed the spin-off show, Chen Luoxi was amazed to discover that Shi Yi could act any role well!

Oh my god, what an acting genius!

Let me launch his acting career!

Faced with the fans' demands, Shi Yi frowned. "But being an idol is my dream. I want to show myself onstage! I want to chase my dream!"

One superfan who preferred to remain anonymous replied: ...That's not you showing yourself. That's a gorilla beating a dog.

After the finale, Shi Yi placed tenth by a hair and failed to debut.

A major film and TV company in the industry reposted his post-show Weibo: "There, there, young master. Come home and inherit the company!"

After much hesitation, the young master said: Then maybe I'll be an actor after all...

At an industry banquet, Chen Luoxi's actor father watched his old friend drop to one knee and confess his love to his precious daughter. He was dumbfounded: "I thought of you as a buddy, but you want to be my son-in-law!"
