Yi Youhe woke up inside a coffin. The people preparing to bury him fled in terror. Staring blankly, he was led away like a puppet on strings by a crowd of uniformed people and taken for a series of examinations.
In the end, he was released as a perfectly normal living person.
He was even given a new identity.
He curiously studied the identity bracelet on his wrist, then looked up at the gray sky and, still feeling like he was in a dream, confirmed one thing:
He had arrived in a new world, one entirely unfamiliar to him.
*
By the Nth day in this new world, Yi Youhe had completely settled in. But life could never be perfect, and he did have one tiny, furry problem.
For example... there were more and more children at home. Was he moving house a little too often?
The sounds of the children roughhousing rang out behind him again. Yi Youhe turned to look
The towering, three-faced knight used his arms as swords, desperately trying to tear off the half-human, half-vine creature strangling him. His imposing heavy armor sizzled as it corroded, only to return to normal the very next second;
The solemn angel and the two-tailed demon sat facing each other across the coffee table, kneeling and settling their dispute in a rather civilized fashion by arm wrestling. The loser would undoubtedly have their heart pierced;
The faceless, legless little girl and the half-human, half-horse boy fought over the same doll. Its brand-new tag was still attached, and the jewel-eyed toy had become a treasured prize, a symbol of affection;
The winged mermaid reclined on the sofa, lazily yawning and looking down on the farce before her. Then she flicked her tail and sent the scorpion-tailed man, who was standing beside her in a daze, flying away;
Only the well-behaved mechanical young man sitting on the carpet had not joined in. He was engrossed in taking apart shiny components and fitting himself with sharp spider legs, their inner sacs filled with deadly poison and thunderous explosives...
Yi Youhe looked at them, his eyes full of helplessness.
They sensed his gaze at once and all looked toward him in unison. Every pair of eyes clearly reflected his image. Then
Their daily question:
“Mother... am I a good child?”
The beautiful young man smiled tenderly. The shadow beneath his feet writhed with delight and spread until it completely covered their home.
He answered patiently, “Of course, of course... You're all good children, all my most beloved children.”

My Genesis was a little-known single-player game. In it, players took on the role of a creator, using their imagination and preferences to craft a world and creations of their own.
Their own...
Those three words were so utterly tempting.
Having grown up in an orphanage, Yi Youhe couldn't wait to download the game. He poured his heart and soul into it, creating many unique beings with all the love he had to give.
He saw them as his children. They saw him as their creator, and above all, their beloved Mother.
He immersed himself in the game, even though he knew their love was only virtual.
But what did that matter?
He had no home of his own in the real world. His outstanding looks only brought him exclusion and trouble, and seven out of every ten people who approached him had ulterior motives.
Only they, the children he had created with his own hands, would love him. They loved him with all their hearts.
So when Yi Youhe arrived in a completely new world, a voice told him that if he perfectly played the role of their child, his children could become real instead of remaining virtual.
Yi Youhe agreed without a second thought.
