Please Don't Make Things Difficult for the Coser [Anime Crossover]

[This story is on hiatus for now. It won't be abandoned, and I'll come back to write it properly. My new story, Gotham Life Chronicles, is now underway. Come check it out!]

Nishimiya Kuji was a cosplayer, strictly speaking, one his friends had dragged along to fill in at the last minute. He had no idea what character he was supposed to portray.

As his friend did his makeup, they told him it didn't matter that he knew nothing about the character. They were all doing their own original designs, so all he had to do was stand beside them and look handsome and quiet.

Nishimiya Kuji: ...Sure, I guess.

But before he could even take the stage, the gymnasium he was in exploded.

Yes, exploded.

Amid the earth-shattering booms, the sounds of collapsing structures, and screams, Nishimiya Kuji suddenly lost consciousness. When he woke again, he was in a pure white space.

A System claiming to come from a higher dimension bound itself to him and told him that if he completed its assignments, he could return to twenty minutes before the explosion. To ensure his safety and help him complete the assignments, it would also turn the original characters that he and his friends were cosplaying into his golden fingers, his superpowers.

The System asked if he was willing. Of course Nishimiya Kuji was. If you can live, why would you choose to die?

So the System issued its assignment:

[Please take down the final boss and defend world peace!]

Nishimiya Kuji: ???

Nishimiya Kuji: !!!

You're asking the impossible of me! I'm just a cosplayer!

Later...

Nishimiya Kuji: Okay, maybe it wasn't asking the impossible. The System is awesome!

System: Hmph ╯^╰
