The Omega Extra Who Transmigrated into a Book Only Wants to Grow Melons

Su Chi, a graduate student at an agricultural university, accidentally transmigrated into a melodramatic novel as a cannon-fodder Omega. In the book, he used his family background to bully the protagonist Omega, schemed against the protagonist Alpha, and tried to secure his place by having his baby. In the end, the protagonist Omega's devoted backup lover had his glands removed and sent him to a mental hospital.

Steal a man? Have a baby? No thanks!

With farming genes etched into his DNA, Su Chi only wants to quietly grow crops and enjoy the harvest, although the things he grows seem to have undergone some strange genetic mutations.

Major General Xin Ye of the empire looks at the melons running all over the ground, waving their thorn-covered leaves and snapping them open and shut. He decides that "strange" doesn't quite cover it. "Can you eat them?"

"Sure. They're really sweet."

"How do you pick them?"

"You have to trade them the fertilizer they like."

That sounds like far too much trouble. Major General Xin thinks it's not worth it. Just then, one of his subordinates hands him a test report. Xin Ye skims it, grabs a pen, and says, "Second Young Master Su, sign a long-term contract with me."

Su Chi: "I refuse."

The major general frowns. "Why?"

Because you're that devoted backup lover. You'll fall madly in love with the protagonist Omega, become his golden finger, take care of him and look after him, help him raise his child... and turn on me, too.

Xin Ye: "...I think you've got me all wrong. We need to get to know each other better."

Years later.

Xin Ye: "Do you know me now?"

"..." Su Chi: I swear, I know you way too damn well.
