Underworld Express

After Si Lin's grandfather passed away, he left him an unremarkable little house.

One day, Si Lin woke up in horror to find himself in the underworld. All the neighbors were ghosts lined up to be reincarnated.

A violent-death ghost with half his head knocked off blocked Si Lin's path and grinned menacingly. "Young man, would you mind delivering something to my old lady? And while you're at it, tell that unfilial brat of mine to burn more paper money for his dead old man. Oh, I'll pay you."

An old ghost who'd died of a sudden brain hemorrhage said, "I have a package to send, too. Please tell my son that my passbook is in the lining of the wardrobe... My son will pay you."

A remorseful ghost who'd died violently said, "Take one of my bones to my so-called 'friend' from when I was alive. Wish him a broken home, a ruined family, and all his money gone, and tell him to come down here and drink with me soon... My ex-wife, my children, and I will all pay you."

Si Lin silently accepted the orders and quietly watched the huge balance in his passbook grow day by day, narrowing his eyes in a secret smile. An obscure wage slave in the living world, a famous courier in the underworld. He did the most ordinary day job and the most badass side hustle.

The grim-faced underworld enforcer came to his door. "I have packages to deliver, too. There's a lot of business. We can sign a long-term contract."

There was no way he could turn this down. Si Lin took out his calculator. "For long-term business, I'll give you a 13% discount. Thank you for your patronage."

Six months later, Si Lin blocked the underworld enforcer's doorway. "Do me a favor and explain this address. Isn't this your own home?"

Yin Li rubbed his chin and opened the door. "That's a long story. Let's discuss it in the bedroom."
