Crane Ball Doesn't Want to Be Heartless

By some strange twist of fate, Crane became the treasured sword presented to King Arthur. Crane: Goodness, that really gave me a fright! Then, by another strange twist of fate, he met a certain Grand Servant who seemed to share his character setup. The moment they met, the two of them started rubbing each other the wrong way. They were both scheming and insincere, inside and out. But as a newly born child, Crane was still a little outmatched. Crane, smiling on the surface: Goodness, it's an honor to meet you, Lord Merlin! Merlin the Heartless: Of course! Meeting you, Lord Tsurumaru, is an honor I shall treasure for three lifetimes! The old Saber: ...Why does it feel like there's a clash of blades and sparks flying? It must be my imagination, right? It isn't your imagination, my king. Later... Crane: I can't believe I ran into you even at the Holy Grail War. You really gave me a fright. (Fake smile) A certain rainbow-haired Mary Sue: Meeting you too, Tsuruchan, is such an honor! Tsurumaru Kuninaga x Merlin Probably a little love story between nonhumans. After thinking it over, I decided to make it a dual-protagonist story, because I feel that if nonhumans have feelings, those feelings must be quite complicated. They may not realize it, and they may not fully understand it. But companionship and meeting each other are wonderful things. Every parting is for the sake of an even better reunion. I hope I can capture the feeling I want in this story. I probably won't start writing it for a few years. If you're interested, feel free to bookmark it!
