On the Compatibility of Mackerel and Slugs

During a mission, the Double Black duo accidentally ended up in another world, in Iimori.

Not only had their bodies shrunk, but they were also unexpectedly adopted by Sawada Nana, who had just lost her husband.

After all, who could resist the kindness of the Sky's Mom?

So, around the same time, they met another shrunken pair of best friends: the Clown and the Mouse.

Later, a certain company president and his cat-loving detective also arrived in Iimori.

...Let's congratulate the president on finally finding a partner! [Most importantly, here's to a safe journey, Iemitsu. Your wife and child belong to someone else now! How wonderful!]

Later, the worlds merged...

The cat-loving detective worked hard to support his family (not really).

The president began his daily routine of spending the day in Yokohama and the evening in Iimori.

The two best friends were still playing their endless game of, "You stabbed me in the back," "I saw that coming," and "Now I'll stab you in the back instead."

And the Double Black duo... Well, even though they've already got their marriage certificate, they still bicker every single day!

"Oh my, the little dark midget was so much cuter as a kid~"

"You damn mackerel! Don't even think about coming home today!"

(Shrugs) What a sight: this is what love looks like!

P.S. The main pairing is Double Black, with Gogol and Dostoevsky as the secondary couple... Who tops and who bottoms is up to your imagination. In this story, Iemitsu died in an accident, leaving Nana to live alone with little Tsunayoshi.

The author is an omnivore with few preferences and no hang-ups, so you can ship them however you like. The story itself won't emphasize any particular pairing.

Jinjiang doesn't let us write that stuff anyway, so ship them however you like.

As for other potential triggers, I'll find out once I start writing.

Also, it's hard to write fanfiction without going out of character. I'll write them as I understand them, so please forgive any OOC moments.
