I Am Hui

[Please add my upcoming novels *After My ‘Gun Hard, Sweet Girl’ Online Romance Imploded* and *Turns Out I’m the Creator God* to your reading lists!] I’m Megumi. I have a problem. I seem to be completely out of the loop all the time. I thought the girls who kept clinging to me and calling me gorgeous were drawn to my irresistible teenage masculinity. Then one of them told me she liked my adoptive father. I thought the guys in my class all wanted to be my underlings because they thought I was cool when I fought. Then they told me it was because my sister was a great cook. I thought Itadori and Gojo-sensei were close, since they kept inexplicably ending up competing against each other. Then Kugisaki told me it was just a battlefield between men. I thought Itadori was cheating on his girlfriend, Sanzu, and sending me sleazy texts. Only later did I find out Sukuna had been secretly messing around with his phone. I thought I was an ordinary sorcerer, with little value and no particular talent. Then the man hailed as the greatest curse told me he was captivated by me and that I had limitless potential. I thought I’d find a girl who loved little animals and spend my life with her. But all the people who confessed to me were men, and they all wanted to play with my little animals. It was all just what I thought. Why am I always the last to know? 1. There’s some canon plot, but not much. The focus is on goofy everyday life and romance. 2. Megumi-centric, with plenty of love triangles. He’s an angsty, goofy teenager with way too much inner monologue. (Meaning I’ve taken liberties with Megumi’s characterization!) Please add my upcoming novel *After My ‘Gun Hard, Sweet Girl’ Online Romance Imploded* to your reading lists! It’ll be out soon, so check it out if you’re interested~ Blurb: [Sunny, guileless male college streamer x seemingly aloof, actually a green-tea schemer who pretends to be a girl in an online romance] Ji Xi has loved shooter games since childhood. He’s handsome and funny, and as soon as he started college, he became a fairly well-known streamer for the hit game *Gun God Era*. Hoping not to disturb his roommates, Ji Xi wanted to rent a place. But his sworn enemy Cui Shiyun, who’d been at odds with him ever since the start of term, moved out right after making a few sarcastic remarks. To make the stream more entertaining, his guild paired him up with a girl for ranked matches. Ji Xi had been reluctant to stream for long, but the girl was beautiful, had a sweet voice, and was a crack shot. They worked together perfectly, and while fans gushed that the two were “kind of sweet,” his viewership quickly soared. As they chatted privately, Ji Xi gradually learned more about his partner, Xiaoyun: “A college student at the same school.” “Over 170 centimeters tall.” “Fair-skinned.” “A crack shot.” Xiaoyun didn’t say much, but she was gentle and patient, always listening to Ji Xi’s troubles. She also regularly invited him to play games, making her exactly his type. Before long, they began a sweet online romance. After they started dating, though, Ji Xi noticed that usually shy Xiaoyun had become bolder. She sometimes brought up intimate topics, asked him for pictures of his abs, and repeatedly suggested meeting in person. Countless nights, innocent Ji Xi blushed to the tips of his ears. After much hesitation, he finally agreed to meet Xiaoyun, his online girlfriend of three months. But when the day came, Ji Xi eagerly searched for Xiaoyun, only to encounter something even more horrifying than an online romance ending the moment they met in person. He’d expected a gentle girl in a white dress, but standing across from him was Cui Shiyun, the cold-faced, dead-eyed enemy he’d hoped never to see again. Ji Xi couldn’t believe it. “You’re Xiaoyun?!” His nemesis nodded. “Yeah.” Ji Xi nearly broke down. “You lied to me?!” Where was the sweet girl from his school, over 170 centimeters tall and a crack shot? Cui Shiyun remained unfazed. “I didn’t lie to you.” “[Redacted] centimeters is over 170.” “Am I not fair-skinned?” “And my aim is…” Heartbroken, Ji Xi was crushed. “Shut up!!” After a week off, Ji Xi’s livestream finally resumed, somewhat awkwardly. The comments quickly filled the screen: “He’s back, he’s back.” “Where’s Xiaoyun?” “Why doesn’t God Xi look so good?” Suddenly, a notification chimed. Ji Xi had received a private message in the game. [Xiaoyun] sent a message: Sorry. Want to play together? The livestream chat instantly went wild: “What the hell happened?” “God Xi, don’t you have any sympathy? You’re really turning down such a sweet girl who can shoot?” Ji Xi couldn’t help cursing inwardly: Sympathy my ass! That idiot Cui Shiyun!! [Xiaoyun] sent a message: My aim is really good today. I can carry. Livestream chat: “Aaaah, God Xi, forgive her! What could Xiaoyun possibly have done wrong?” Ji Xi: ? This person is being so damn suggestive! Not long afterward, two awkward figures ended up squeezed onto a single bed in the dorm. Cui Shiyun: “Baby, is my aim not good anymore? Why won’t you play with me?” Ji Xi: ...For fuck’s sake. Somebody help me!!! Theme: Work hard to overcome life’s setbacks.
