Cuncun's Personal BL Favorites
Mm-hmm.
Novels Set in Ancient Times
Ancient-setting stories, including historical fiction, alternate history, and wuxia. Plot-focused, with farming and development, construction, mystery, war, jianghu stories, and more
La La La
Re-reading this for the nth time.
XXXX, but I Love the Uke
I've read mountains of trash, yet I can still find a glimmer of light in the muck.
Transmigration, Rebirth, Transmigrate Into a Book, Parallel Universes, and More
Body transmigration, soul transmigration, time and space, alternate dimensions, and so on.
A Collection of High-Quality Ancient BL Novels with Brilliant Couples and Political Scheming
Keywords: political intrigue / business management / fantasy / world-building / imperial exams / mystery / Republican era / ancient times (Ongoing updates. I'm a tough grader, so three stars is a high score. Good for when you're out of things to read.)
Danmei I've Read
Stories that crossed your path over the years. Hope we’ll meet again this cozy winter, with a stockpile of books to read.
Five-Star Reviews
Stories I've reread over and over the past few years
Historical Danmei
Some ancient-era danmei I personally enjoyed. Apart from the last two, which involve souls swapping bodies, the rest are about people from the modern era traveling to ancient times.
A Slightly Crazy Top and a Good-Hearted Bottom
[Read in a day] Fast-paced or melodramatic plots, lighthearted everyday moments, standout premises, funny yet serious stories, and characters without deal-breaker flaws
Imperial Examination Stories
A collection of imperial examination stories, saved for my own reference
Must-Read Danmei Gems!!!
If you never try this path, how can you know it isn't for you??(??????)?? So elegant
Planning to Read Soon (2024-04 Onward)
So many books I started but never finished, SOS. Ratings only reflect how much they appealed to me. A one-star rating just means I've saved it but haven't read it yet, so it doesn't reflect how appealing it really is.
Books I Own in Full
A variety of genres, with smooth writing and plenty of imagination. More coming soon.
[BL] Book Recommendations, First Batch [Full]
Danmei novels I've read and personally rated between three and five stars. Due to JJ's rating system, I can only give them all four stars.
Palace Intrigue
Definitely not focused on romance. I just can't stand all the heartache and tragic love anymore.
All-Historical Danmei
I’m always in the mood for historical danmei!
2You
Stories I’d reread.
Lesser-Known Original Danmei (2023)
As the title says, great stories that aren't popular! I personally prefer historical BL and am a little picky about bottoms. Not a fan of switches, bottoms who top, or weak tops. No guarantee the couple will be each other's firsts. No moral paragons, please.

Love it.
Task 1
But they're all pretty good
A Few Favorite Completed Novels I Recommend
They span long periods of time and tend to focus on the plot. Both leads are positive, uplifting characters, making these great for rereading and savoring. Some are real hidden gems...
So Good, I Keep Coming Back
Lots of genres and perspectives
