The Empress Keeps Guessing Who the Female Lead Is

Author Wan Yu transmigrates into a palace-intrigue serial as the empress.

But the author of this story has a peculiar habit: the heroine appears late, and always becomes a Noble Consort.

As a cannon-fodder empress, Wan Yu plans to help the hero and heroine get together, win some goodwill, and then keep living comfortably and quietly.

But with so many women in the harem, Wan Yu can only use her wildly unconventional reasoning to guess who the heroine is. She then acts cute and coquettish, or resorts to threats and intimidation, with the cold-faced emperor Li Yuexun, who has no interest in women, coming up with all sorts of ways to give him opportunities to favor the "heroines."

Emperor Li Yuexun has a secret he can't speak of:

The empress he ostensibly married against his will to balance the court is actually the woman he loves.

He acts cold toward her every day, hoping she'll come and indulge him a little, giving him an excuse to dote on her alone.

But later, he increasingly feels that the empress has someone else in her heart.

Otherwise, why would she keep pushing him toward other women?

Li Yuexun, who forces himself to act aloof every day, is jealous and furious:

Fine, I'll keep at it until you fall for me!

And so, daily life in the harem becomes this: the empress tries to guess who the heroine is every day, while the emperor tries to guess who his rival in love is.
