After transmigrating, Jinjiang author Tang Su decides to indulge in the thrill of a cultivation power-up novel: level up like crazy, collect magical treasures, become the domineering sect leader, marry her celestial master, and rise to the peak of the cultivation world.
But just after transmigrating, she leaves her secluded cave, slips inconspicuously into the crowd, and plans to enjoy the spectacle of the Demon Cult attacking the immortal sect. Then the handsome man standing atop the highest white jade steps points right at her and cries out joyfully, "The esteemed sect leader has emerged from seclusion!"
And so, whether they’re from the Demon Cult or the orthodox path, or even the demon and charm clans, thousands of eyes turn in unison toward Tang Su, the ordinary passerby.
Demon Lord Susha grabs her with a shift of form, his feelings a mix of love and hate. "I’ll ask you just once today: will you marry me or not?"
The Supreme Immortal shields her behind him, cold and aloof. "Junior Sister Tang is devoted to ascending with me. What’s that to you?"
Her disciple, the cultivation world’s number one beauty and a member of the dragon clan, gazes at her with red-rimmed eyes. "Shizun, you’ve lost weight. I can’t bear it."
Even her sentient immortal sword manifests a sword spirit and smiles wickedly. "Su’er has always been mine. What business is it of yours?"
Tang Su is completely dumbfounded. Have I already reached the highest level, obtained the most powerful treasure, become the leader of the orthodox path, and made it to the peak of the immortal realm? And am I the one who’s like a celestial immortal, the Shizun?
This Mary Sue heroine setup suddenly reminds her of the new story she’d just started planning: Cultivation: My Stories with Those Four or Five Men.
In the outline, her supporting character is the Demon Lord’s unattainable first love, the Immortal Venerable’s cinnabar mole, the Charm King’s darling, and the Emperor’s precious girl.
Tang Su looks up at the sky and sighs. "I haven’t even finished writing the outline, damn it! Why’d you make me transmigrate? With this many big shots, they’re either exes or backup options, and there are another dozen or so people I’ve got ambiguous relationships with..."
Good-for-nothing Tang Su is close to tears. How the hell is she supposed to handle this?
Theme: I love a good romantic battlefield more than anything.
