The Person I Fell for at First Sight Has a Girlfriend

The first time I saw him, I decided that our future children would take his last name.

I kept sneaking glances at him, and every now and then our eyes would meet. He must have been looking at me too. He must have fallen in love with me at first sight as well.

He was sneaking glances at me, so I pretended to go to the restroom. Surely he'd follow me and strike up a conversation.

I'd act as though I couldn't possibly refuse when he asked to exchange contact information. Then we'd talk all night, get to know each other, discover we were made for each other, and fall deeply in love.

We'd buy a house and get married. We'd take turns picking up the kids. He was so handsome, so of course the kids would take his last name.

But he didn't follow me.

There was a girl sitting beside him. She leaned against his shoulder and even pinched his cheek.
