Boy Band Wars

When Jiang Suinian and Lu Shenhao were both seventy, they each rode an electric scooter and crashed into each other on the road. Their old bones shattered on impact. They closed their eyes and kicked the bucket, at the ripe old age of seventy. When Jiang Suinian opened his eyes again, he found himself back at twenty. But it wasn’t his twenty-year-old self. He was twenty-year-old “Lu Shenhao.” When the two met again at college Jiang Suinian: “Heh, I get it. You’re the busybody who keeps stirring up trouble between neighbors, acting like the head of the neighborhood committee. You’re a real shit-stirrer.” Lu Shenhao: “Oh, I get it, too. You’re the brat who spends all day fanning yourself and munching on seeds while watching the show.” - Jiang Suinian spent several months pretending to be Lu Shenhao in front of the cameras. But just before the public performance, they suddenly switched back after Lu Shenhao climbed into his bed. It should have been a cause for celebration. But during rehearsals for the public performance, they suddenly realized they didn’t know each other’s parts. Jiang Suinian: “How the hell are we supposed to do this?” Lu Shenhao: “We might as well pack up and retire.” * One-on-one pairing, both are each other’s first and only, happy ending, equally matched. * Both are reborn, with their souls swapped. They’ll switch back. * A ridiculous, sweet, feel-good power fantasy told from both perspectives. * Flirty top (Lu Shenhao) x aloof bottom (Jiang Suinian) * College campus at first, entertainment industry in the middle and later sections. * About the setting that the two seventy-year-old grandpas are both still virgins: I’m a fan of both characters being each other’s first and only, so that’s what I write, even if they’re 700 years old. Please go easy on me and don’t argue over it. Even if you point out that it’s unrealistic, I’ll just say, “Sorry, I was wrong. I’ll do it again next time.” There’s no point, so let’s spare each other the awkwardness. Theme: When everything begins again, our choices may change. We might find ourselves in a field we’re not good at, but we should never give up.
