Harry Potter: Love Is to Blame

Yilaikete is the perfect goddess in everyone’s eyes: graceful in manner and elegant in speech, she is the unattainable beauty of Slytherin. But only Barty Crouch Jr. knows what a captivating sight lies beneath Yilaikete’s graceful disguise. Warnings and notes: 1. The male lead is Barty Crouch Jr. The author fell for Barty while playing the Dark Lord route in HS, but there was too little content about him, so I couldn’t help writing my own. Barty will get a happy ending in this story. 2. I’ll try to keep the heroine from being too obnoxious or overly idealized, but honestly, how can you win the heart of a dream guy without being a little idealized? 3. This story takes the Slytherin side. I won’t go out of my way to vilify Gryffindor, but some scenes I don’t consider vilifying may be seen that way by certain readers, so Gryffindor fans should proceed with caution. 4. The story mainly follows the events of Goblet of Fire, since Barty only appears in that book. It follows the original canon. 5. Barty will be portrayed somewhat more favorably, without aiming to make him out of character. 6. The heroine will compete in the Triwizard Tournament, so Cedric won’t have to die, but he won’t get much screen time either. A tribute to the original work and its author, J. K. Rowling. Written for love, not behind a paywall. Theme: Redemption
