The Days I Was Forced to Draw Cards for Being Too Lucky

The novel is now exclusive. I'm writing for love, so updates will be irregular.

Feel free to stay or leave. I'll do my best to update when I have time. :030

One day, Yu Xian finds a black card with a line of text printed on it: [Death Shield 3/3]

Yu Xian: ?

It looks ominous. I should throw it away.

But before the card leaves his hand, a strange sense of alarm suddenly flashes through his mind.

The next second, a man dressed in black drops from the sky. The air sweeps around the hem of his trench coat, making it flutter and snap.

Lu Ming lands perfectly, crouching on a transparent shield one meter above Yu Xian.

[Shield generated. Card activated.]

Yu Xian looks up and locks eyes for two seconds with the man floating above him.

Then he looks down and sees that the card's 3/3 has changed to 2/3.

"Aw," the man above him says, sounding deeply regretful. "A god-tier card..."

Yu Xian has been a lazy couch potato ever since he was little. The only thing he can boast about is the good luck he was born with.

He wins seven drinks in a row, and every guess on a multiple-choice test turns out right.

His scores always just scrape by, and he even won a hundred million in the lottery.

The house he bought goes up in value every year. His daily routine consists of taking the dog for a walk and collecting rent.

Then one day, he meets a man who looks extremely badass.

He uses the man's card, and things seem to take a turn for the worse.

"How about this?" Lu Ming takes the card from Yu Xian between two fingers.

He bends forward slightly, smiling with a hint of roguishness. "Play a game with me, and I won't hold it against you."

When it comes to games, Yu Xian has never been afraid of anyone.

System: Welcome, Player Number 66666. As a new player with a consecutive number, you receive the special benefit of five draws from the card pool.

Yu Xian raises an eyebrow and taps at random. Five gold-glittering god-tier cards appear.

He picks the last card and moves his thumb slightly as he looks at Lu Ming.

-Damn, that's incredible!

The person in question is pretty excited inside.

-Five god-tier cards in one draw. As expected of my wife!
