The Card Master at the End of the World

A card-upgrading story. Saving this idea for later. The blurb is just a first draft; I'll revise it later. In 2299, at the end of the century, Earth was swallowed by a black hole and merged with another continent in the universe. Humanity was forced into a world of cards. In this world, cards reign supreme. The weapons that once let humanity shatter the heavens and earth no longer worked. Faced with a strange new world, people had no choice but to start over. Chu Cheng, born into a family renowned for its martial arts, accidentally discovers that Earth's destruction was part of a massive conspiracy. To uncover the truth, Chu Cheng leads a group of companions across this unfamiliar card continent. Native: God of Light, grant me the power of the moon! Chu Cheng: Sky Dog card. Native: God of Darkness, grant me a man-eating beast! Chu Cheng: Taotie card. Native: You're cheating! Those aren't cards from this continent! Chu Cheng: Oh, I carved them myself. I haven't finished making all the cards from the Classic of Mountains and Seas yet. Shall we keep going? Native: ... Chu Cheng: With the Classic of Mountains and Seas, I could wipe out your entire continent. Archived on Weibo on September 23, 2020. Theme: Face the unknown without fear and keep moving forward.
