The Substitute Supporting Actress Sees the Comments

[The print edition is now available under the title Crossing Over Today. Follow @Jinjiang Rifu Ri for updates.] Nie Yinzhi's cultivation went awry, and she nearly suffered a cultivation deviation. After emerging from seclusion, she found that she could see captions floating above people's heads. From the comments, she learned that she was merely a substitute supporting character in a book. Everyone in her sect doted on her because her eyes looked just like those of the senior sister, their lost beloved, who had died ten years ago. And in three days, the blind senior sister would return to the sect Nie Yinzhi would have her master cut open her abdomen and take her core, then have her senior brothers gouge out her eyes. In the end, she would die alone. * Using spoilers from the comments, Nie Yinzhi laid down a forbidden formation and sacrificed her soul to summon the book's great demon villain ahead of time. Drenched in blood, she sneered under the horrified gazes of everyone present: “If that's how it is, then no one gets to live!” The Demon Lord, clad in black robes, appeared slowly and raised a hand to wipe the blood from the corner of her mouth. “You're so young. Why are you so full of murderous rage? Whatever the misunderstanding, everyone can sit down over a cup of tea and talk it out. There's no need to fight and kill.” Nie Yinzhi: “???” This is the great demon they said killed without blinking and was guilty of every crime imaginable?!!! [The demon says no, but his actions tell another story. No frustrating helplessness, so read without worry.] Gu Jiang: My wife is asking me to kill someone again today. Nie Yinzhi: The Demon Lord is urging me to be good again today. The cultivation world: Suffering at their hands again today. A laid-back, retired-civil-servant sort of demon lord who'd rather do nothing, male lead VS a vengeful heroine who can't stand the slightest grievance [[Warning: It should be clear from the synopsis that the heroine is not a kind-hearted character! She has flaws in her personality, too! She is not a perfect victim! She will not wait until someone actually cuts out her golden core and gouges out her eyes before fighting back! If that bothers you, please read with caution!]] (Screenshot posted to Weibo on 2020.6.10) Theme: Learn to view the world with kindness.
