An Apology Letter from the Galaxy

Across the mysterious, ethereal band of the Milky Way, a trillion stars revolve. Gas and dust spread across hundreds of thousands of light-years, turning along the inner edge of the Orion Arm. It takes more than two hundred million years to complete a single revolution.

It is the path that guides fledgling birds as they spread their wings and fly south. It is the straw dropped along the way by a god who stole a sacred treasure. It is a silver pitcher brimming with white milk, squeezed from the Alps. It is radio waves, black holes, dark matter, a spherical silver halo that absorbs electromagnetic waves of specific wavelengths.

It is all the candlelight that can be seen with the naked eye, and all the light we scarcely dare to imagine.

Yet the Milky Way must apologize to you.

For no matter how beautiful and colorful they are, they cannot compare to your loveliness. Dust cannot compare to you, stars cannot compare to you, clouds of gas cannot compare to you.

Nothing can compare to you.

So the Milky Way has sent a devoted messenger here, to turn the faint light gathered from the forest into a story and offer it to you.

You are the most adorable thing in the Milky Way.

Theme: Because you are utterly one of a kind.
