[Western Crossover] Hello, Doll! 1: The Dolls I Made Came to Life

Aiko Aida is a craftworker. She is twenty-three years old and has been working for sixteen years. Her specialty is making lifelike dolls with wooden and ceramic joints.

In other words: dolls.

She loves her work. Every doll has a name, a distinct personality and mannerisms, and some are even designed as mutants.

She has made each child dozens of outfits, dresses, shoes, accessories, and cosmetics. She even made a special trip to Kingsman for them.

She also used her savings to buy a house in Kansas and personally renovated it into a city, at least for dolls that are a little over a foot tall.

It turns out that she and her dolls are very happy together.

Until one day, Mr. Kent next door tells her he heard a lot of people partying. She turns around and sees...

The dolls: "Hey, Mom! Want a drink?"

In that instant, a lot of things come to mind, such as:

The game she has been playing forever without managing to beat...

Doll Chris, the esports champ: "I beat it. No need to thank me ^_^"

The dress she fell asleep before finishing...

Doll Yin Li, the tailor shop owner: "I finished sewing it! (?▽?) Does it look good, Mom?"

The cookies she never finished baking...

Doll Timora, the dessert magician: "Your daughter baked them. How are they?"

And then... the gunshots she heard in the middle of the night...

Doll Xianli, the cosmic firearms expert: "Why are you looking at me? Sure, I can assemble guns, but I don't have any materials!"

Feeling inexplicably guilty but still pretending to be in the right...

Doll Kalia, the agent with overwhelming combat skills: "But I saw you sniping just the other day!"

Theme: Dolls are a girl's best friends.
