Xun Yi is smart, rich, proud, fussy, and always claims he's destined to be alone. Since his parents never loved him, he grew up feeling pitiful and became twisted in temperament. When he was twelve, his father found the man he'd loved for years, a male sweetheart from the past who'd run away long ago. His father immediately showed his true colors, divorced his wife, and married his old flame. The man's nephew became Xun Yi's older brother.

"Brother?"

"What a joke. This country bumpkin's lucky if I even bother to look at him."

But later, at one in the morning: "Brother, I want some milk. Go warm it up for me."

[Content warning] This story has a lot going on, and the triggers are densely packed. The melodrama comes down in torrents. In truth, Xun Yi is a good boy who doesn't act out at all. He just loves his brother too much.

The top and bottom are not related by blood, and both are adults when they fall in love. They save each other in their youth, and as adults their feelings are mutual (in bold capital letters). They meet when the bottom is at the darkest point in his life. The top's special care for him comes from guilt and a desire to make amends.

The top always knows the truth. The bottom doesn't know at first, and even after he learns, he refuses to believe it. But none of this has anything to do with being bewitched or unable to control themselves. Each has their own obsession, and each is caught up in their own twists of fate.
