Senior Brother's Sword Points to the Old Realm

Ye Lingyi's favorite actor, Shi Jiqing, announced a new cultivation drama that hadn't started filming yet. She carefully painted an ink portrait of him, capturing his refined, elegant bearing and immortal grace.

Then she went to sleep and transmigrated.

She transmigrated as a tiny baby, held in someone's arms, just as a blade flashed toward her. A bamboo sword cut off the attacker's arm and saved her.

Her savior wore white, in a flowing robe with wide sleeves, and looked exactly like Shi Jiqing.

She suspected that she had transmigrated into the cultivation drama, but she was still a baby who could only babble, so there was no way she could keep him by her side. She had arrived too early in the timeline. She grew up in the remote, chaotic borderlands between two countries, and it wasn't until she was fifteen that a passing cultivator discovered she had the legendary Heavenly Spirit Root and brought her back to the sect.

The cultivation world had fallen into decline. No one had ascended in nearly a thousand years, and a Heavenly Spirit Root was exceptionally rare. Ye Lingyi became the disciple of a powerful master.

Her master had a troublesome disciple who caused chaos at the sect's gates every few days. But he was exceptionally powerful, so the entire Qingxu Sect steered clear of him.

After her fellow disciples earnestly filled her head with warnings, Ye Lingyi spent a long time feeling uneasy, only to discover that the troublemaking senior brother was her savior, as well as the one she'd loved from afar for years.

Ye Lingyi: Thanks for asking. I've been waiting for him for years.

Everyone in the Qingxu Sect practiced swordsmanship, and the most famous among them was Shi Jiqing of Wuyafeng Peak.

The Heaven-Breaking Sword protects the people, its edge pointed straight toward the boundless sky.

Ye Lingyi took an unconventional path, comprehending the Dao through painting. With a tattered goat-hair brush in hand, she could bring mountains and rivers to life with a single stroke and save the people of the world.

When she joined the sect, someone once asked her, "The Heavenly Dao is unpredictable. What will you do?"

Sitting rather irreverently on a broken rock, she swung her legs as she answered.

"I'll find my own way forward. If Heaven is unjust, I'll spend my life creating justice of my own. If Heaven brings a great drought, I'll make the rivers flow into the sea and return again. If I cultivate the sword, then the sky screen will lie within reach of my blade. The Heavenly Dao is unpredictable, so I'll seek the heavens beyond the heavens."

Theme: Always stay positive and never fear hardship.
