I'm Afraid of Silly Nonsense

[A silly, everyday slice-of-life, posted on November 24; medium-length novella] People said Shao Lixuan was hopelessly lovesick and a total wife-lover, the sort who'd become a completely henpecked husband as soon as he got married. Qiao Runyi had never quite agreed. In his eyes, his boss was serious and upright, impressive and commanding, radiating the unmistakable air of a young elite. Those foolish labels could never define him so easily. After dying of a terminal illness, Qiao Runyi was reborn in his high school days. At this point, the young Mr. Shao didn't have a wife yet, but he couldn't go more than a few sentences without mentioning one. “If I had money, of course I'd give it to my wife.” “Counting money with my wife would be such a happy thing.” “No matter how hard life gets, I can't let my wife suffer!” “A man who doesn't want to be his wife's favorite isn't a good man.” Qiao Runyi finally couldn't hold back. “Who exactly is your wife?” The air fell silent. Shao Lixuan stared at him, then quietly blushed. Shao Lixuan had loved Qiao Runyi for thirteen years. Before he could confess, he heard the news that Qiao had died of illness. Reborn twelve years in the past, he decided he was willing to throw away his pride to pursue him. +++++++To hell with silently protecting him and waiting for him to turn around.
