After Becoming the Marshal's Contract Pet

After Xu Xiaoyang became a spirit, she signed a contract with the empire's top marshal and became his battle pet.

Before she started the job, the federal government gave her a special briefing: The marshal was cold, imposing, decisive, and led his troops fearlessly.

Xu Xiaoyang: But what does that have to do with a lively little sheep like me?

·

At their first meeting, Xu Xiaoyang made the marshal a gift of the freshest green grass as a sign of respect.

That night, the badly wounded Marshal Seccis put on the grass hat with a blank expression. Under the little lamb's hopeful gaze, he stiffly added, "The grass is really fragrant."

The marshal wasn't as unapproachable as the rumors claimed, and once Xu Xiaoyang realized that, she gradually let loose.

"Don't look down on me just because I'm a sheep~ I make the food taste even better~ I make the sky even bluer~ And I make the marshal softer, too~"

She sang as she cooked, but before she could finish, she was pulled into a rock-hard embrace.

Xu Xiaoyang: ...What are you doing?

Marshal Seccis swept her up in his arms: Exactly. Let's do it first.
