Nightwing, Your Dad Won't Be Mad, Will He? [Western Crossover]

Robin, I broke your weapon. Your dad won’t be mad, will he? Robin, you wore the suit I improved for you. Your dad won’t get jealous, will he? Wait, Robin… Nightwing, I mean. You left Gotham to come to my Bludhaven. Your dad isn’t going to beat me up, is he? Your dad is terrifying. Unlike me, I only know how to feel sorry for you, bro~ther~ * As she hung from the gallows, flames licking at her, the witch Mill never imagined she would wake up again. The adoptive father who betrayed her, The men from her village who clamored to burn her alive, The powerful man who coldly ordered them to light the fire… Men are trash! Bastards! Scoundrels! Cowards! The witch Mill’s anger would not fade. The spirit Mill’s resentment would not die away. But when Mill used her witch’s powers, a handsome boy in a colorful bodysuit looked at her in admiration. Men are all good at pretending. This boy must be, too. Mill tried to scare him. “I’m an evil witch.” The boy said, “But you protected that child, didn’t you? Your powers are so cool!” Mill put on a terrifying ghost face. “I’m a spirit returned from hell to take revenge on filthy souls, ” When he learned what she’d been through, he was more upset than she was. “It must have hurt so much to be burned alive.” Mill: “…” Daisy was dragged out of bed in the middle of the night. Mill asked her, “What kind of person do boys like these days?” Still half asleep, Daisy replied, “Generally speaking… someone pretty who makes them want to protect her, I guess?” The next day, Daisy watched her spirit friend, who could lift a truck with a flick of her finger, take human form and fail to open a tiny bottle in front of Robin. Daisy’s glasses fell off. * Daisy: What was your first impression of the other? Mill: A sly, scheming guy with a face that looks like a liar. (Daisy: You just like his face, don’t you…) Dick: The truth? Fine. A dangerous, unknown presence. A terrifying, bodiless spirit. A lawless criminal with no sense of right or wrong. (Daisy: Yes, yes, exactly… Mill, what are you so pleased with yourself about now?) Jason: What do you mean, “exactly”? Is that the sort of thing you can say in a wedding speech? *Slow-burn, moderately long story ahead. The heroine is a terrifying, mysterious, unknown presence at first, and appears infrequently in the early chapters. *One-on-one ending. *The heroine is very humanlike. *I’ve watched the comics, TV shows, and cartoons in a bit of a jumble, so this story mixes settings and doesn’t follow any one work exactly. *More to come if I think of anything. (｡- .•) Theme: Be brave and pursue what you want in life.
