The Underclassman Thinks He's in Unrequited Love

Seeing his junior grow close to someone of the opposite sex makes Yuan Shili understand what he feels for him.

People say there are only two things in the world that can't be hidden: a cough and the heart that loves someone.

Yuan Shili is in constant danger of letting his feelings show.

If they can only ever be friends, Yuan Shili never wants his junior to know that he likes him.

So Yuan Shili cuts off contact unilaterally.

One day, a message appears in a group chat:

1. Yuan Shili likes men.

2. Because of point one, he's been distanced by a sophomore from another college.

Yuan Shili, who was the one to distance himself from that junior and is now absorbed in his studies: "..."

To avoid unnecessary trouble, Yuan Shili promptly contacts the group admin and asks them to delete the message.

But a few days later, Yuan Shili is out when his long-unseen junior suddenly appears and cheerfully greets him.

On the way back to campus during rush hour, Yuan Shili is trapped in a corner of the subway. His junior shields him from the jostling passengers with his body, blocking Yuan Shili's way out.

After countless "chance encounters" and subtle teasing, Yuan Shili can't take it anymore. Frowning, he asks with a troubled, helpless look, "What exactly are you trying to do?"

The junior opens a screenshot for him. It's a record of the chat Yuan Shili had asked the group admin to delete.

The gossip about Yuan Shili liking this very junior.

Yuan Shili's lashes tremble. He says expressionlessly, "It's fake."

The junior says, "I know."

Yuan Shili: ?

The junior looks disappointed. "If it were true, then I wouldn't be the only one in love anymore."
