Better to Do Science Than Be a Pillar

Reason for joining: To study pharmacology Also known as: Is It Wrong That I'm an Expert in Medicine and Am Called the Pillar of Medicine? Notes on Researching New Species in the Taisho Era Killing demons is no match for doing science. Why kill a species with such economic value? Wouldn't it be better to study them? The Demon Slayer Corps: "...So that's why you torture demons." Oh, come on! How could they possibly understand me? What's wrong with being serious about science? Isn't it perfectly normal?! * My name is Shirakawa Ji. I come from Nagatenjouki Academy in Academy City. I'm a former researcher and a current member of the Demon Slayer Corps. Still, for some reason, my teammates seem to have a bit of a prejudice against me. Boar-Head: "I gotta stay away from her. She smells strongly of blood." Head Pillar: "Wait, Miss Shirakawa, please stop studying them and just give them a quick death!" Sleepy Pillar: "The Medicine Pillar is so scary!!!!" A certain Water Pillar: "..." The owner of the fox mask, who should have died, and the wielder of Water Breathing, manages a strained smile. "The Medicine Pillar is a good person." The demons: "Quick, cut off my head, I beg you, just cut it off with your sword!" Demon King Muzan: "Don't come any closer!" And so, things turned out like this... I don't think I've done anything wrong. Research is in my nature, after all. Every generation of my family has been made up of researchers. My desire to do research is as natural as a person's need to drink water to stay alive. Huh? In the end, everyone in the Demon Slayer Corps agreed that I was one of the strongest swordsmen and gave me the title of Medicine Pillar. I wasn't very happy about it. If you ask me, there's no future in being a Pillar. I should be doing science! * [Content warning: The female lead is a mad researcher.] Recommended upcoming stories of mine: [Kimetsu no Yaiba] Not a Pillar, but the Railgun: Mikoto Misaka♂ in the Demon Slayer Corps.
