Synopsis

Jason Todd, the second Robin, is one of Batman's greatest sorrows. He's the Bat Family's wayward son, with countless lives on his hands: a vigilante and executioner, the successor to Black Mask or the Joker, or perhaps a priest, mercenary, or magician. Also known as the Arkham Knight, the Red Hood, the Prince of Gotham, the last of the Al Ghul line, or something else entirely.

But all of that happened in countless parallel universes. In this world, whose number is unknown, none of it has happened yet.

Still, in this world, whose path is almost identical to those of the others, he has already become one of Batman's greatest sorrows.

As always, this unfortunate boy will come back from the dead. What makes this time unusual is that, afterward, his fate takes a small turn.

Perhaps it's the world's malice, or perhaps the stars have shifted into the wrong positions at the wrong time. Maybe it's a lingering effect of what the Joker did to him... Though most likely, the Lazarus Pit damaged his brain. Honestly, Jason thought from the start that the League of Assassins' bathwater, suspiciously over-enriched with oxygen and nutrients and overflowing with green algae, was utterly unreliable.

Anyway, after crawling out of Ra's al Ghul's miraculous pool, Jason realized he'd become a communications hub forced to receive signals from elsewhere. And there was more than one damn signal.

Every one of those signals was named Jason Todd.

This is a Hood who soaked in the bath for too long and got his brain all soggy. The big red head now connects him to all kinds of Hoods from other parallel worlds. Influenced by all those Hoods, this soggy Hood suddenly swerves off his predetermined path and races toward an unknown future.

The central Hood is the black-haired, blue-eyed Hood with a white streak. The pairing is undecided. The only sure thing is that everyone loves Hood, including Hood himself.

No pairings in the main story. Everyone is in love with Hood, in every sense of the word. It's an all-Hood situation, with all kinds of pairings. The individual romances will be in the extras, if there even are any.

Readers who require physical and emotional purity, beware. The romance is wildly tangled, mostly with men, though women are involved too. Everyone gets closer by sleeping together.

Reader warning:

Out of character, with original settings and personal preferences mixed in. None of the Hoods belong to me, but the Hoods in this story were born from my imagination.

This story came from a sudden idea. I have no backlog, no outline, and no logic. The writing is elementary-school level. As long as it's fun, that's all that matters.

Updates whenever I feel like it.

This is a pit.
