You Are My Daybreak

The Shen Family Series, Book Three

When Bai Mixing found out she had a fiance chosen for her by their families, she refused to accept it. In front of all her online followers, she swore with great conviction:

“If I ever fall for him, even for one second, I'll quit showbiz immediately.”

Three months later.

Bai Mixing: “Everyone, I'm quitting showbiz for ten minutes. Don't miss me. :)”

Fans: “????!!!”

Bai Mixing hated being told what to do more than anything.

When her family insisted she study law, she rebelled and applied for acting instead.

So when she was forced to go on a blind date with Shen Xing, she sat down at the restaurant and declared solemnly:

“Mr. Shen, although you're very handsome and everything about you is very much to my taste, I'm a committed singleton, so let's just call this off.”

Shen Xing sat up straight across from her, sipping his coffee.

At her words, his brows knit slightly. Whether the coffee was too bitter or he found her statement too absurd, his handsome, refined face immediately turned cold.

He looked up, set down his coffee, and said languidly, “Miss Bai, I think you've got the wrong person.”

Bai Mixing: “???”

“I'm not your blind date.” Shen Xing lifted his chin and gestured behind her. “Your date is behind you.”

Bai Mixing spun around. A man in a suit awkwardly waved at her.

For the first time in her life, Bai Mixing was so mortified that she wanted to find a crack in the ground to crawl into.

Years later, on a variety show, the host asked them which of them had fallen first.

Bai Mixing openly admitted it was her.

But when the microphone was passed to Shen Xing, he looked fondly at Bai Mixing beside him and asked:

“Do you really think it was a coincidence that I showed up at that blind date all those years ago?”
