Esports Captain: A High-Risk Job?

[A sweet younger-man romance, complete for just 4r: a sly, tea-sipping younger Ghost King x a sharp-tongued, fiercely protective team captain] Save Yu An is a recognized legend in the Survivor esports scene. Three years ago, after leading his team to victory at the first World Championship, he retired at the peak of his career for no apparent reason. He became the league's eternal cinnabar mole, forever etched in fans' hearts. Rumor had it that Yu An and his former teammate Jin, the top Ghost Emperor, were deeply at odds. The former F-god twin stars had long since turned against each other, and the stories went that this was why Yu An retired and Jin moved to North America. Three years passed, and their fans still traded attacks and arguments over it. Then, after the Chinese division lost again at the fourth World Championship, Yu An made a high-profile announcement that he was returning, like a savior, to reform F-god. The camera shifted to the team members. Save and Jin stood side by side, as if an entire era had returned. Fans: F-god's human and ghost emperors are getting back together? Someone wake me up! If anyone can face-slap the fans, it's you! Amid all the controversy and debate, they fought their way through to the top of the podium once again. In the post-match interview, a North American host asked a question he had clearly been holding onto. "Jin, why did you choose to return to the Chinese division and team up with Save again?" The young Ghost Emperor, who was usually stone-faced, glanced at the smiling man beside him and, rarely, smiled for the cameras. "Because esports can't do without him, and neither can I." Back then [Captain An, I heard being an esports team captain is an extremely dangerous job...] Yu An tapped away at his keyboard, glanced at the comment, and curled his lips with interest. "Why do you say that?" [Because being close to someone makes it easy for your teammates to set their sights on you and get you into bed!!!] Yu An: "...Read fewer novels and watch more matches." Later Yu An: Thanks for asking. The novels weren't lying. Being an esports team captain really is an extremely dangerous job. Obviously, win a championship, then start dating x [Bonus Scene] During a livestream after winning the championship, Yu An played ranked matches all night and forgot to turn off his mic. His fans flooded the chat, telling him to rest, but it had no effect. Just then, a slender hand placed a steaming bowl of rice noodles on his desk. "I'm not eating." Yu An didn't even look up. "Big brother, I know I can't compete with games in your heart. I just worry about your health." "..." Yu An's hand shook. He nearly ended the livestream, and a suspicious blush spread over his ears. A screenful of question marks flew by, and the fans went wild. That coy voice sounded so much like Jin, the league's number-one aloof bking! Captain An, who never listened to anyone, actually obediently ate and went to rest?! We've been fools. Ship them! Everyone, ship them!
