One Minute Late to Fall in Love [Showbiz]

-

Wen Nuan had been in love with Zhou Jihan for six years. When she pursued him, people called her a delusional gold-digger who was throwing herself at him. She swallowed every grievance, hoping only that Zhou Jihan would look her way a little more often.

But in the end, all she got from him was a careless, “I never took it seriously.”

It wasn't that he didn't like her. He simply didn't care at all.

So, eyes red, she deleted everything connected to Zhou Jihan.

Wen Nuan chose a place to go bungee jumping. After plunging from dozens of meters up, she decided she had died once. Now that she was living again, she would never like him again.

Later, while working together again, Zhou Jihan realized that he had fallen for this young woman.

She used to have clear, passionate eyes full of affection, but now they no longer lit up when she looked at him.

Whenever he thought about it, he felt a faint, twisting pain in his chest.

So he became the one who wouldn't take no for an answer.

He asked her out to dinner. Wen Nuan said she was sick, but that very evening she was photographed having dinner with a popular young star and going home with him, smiling brightly.

She had to ride in Zhou Jihan's car for work, then sprayed herself with disinfectant after getting out.

When Wen Nuan was asked about her ideal type, she avoided anything that had to do with Zhou Jihan.

Not long after, Zhou Jihan cornered Wen Nuan at her door.

He said, “I'm pursuing you.”

“Is that so?” Wen Nuan's expression was cool. “I never took it seriously either.”

During a variety show's livestream, Zhou Jihan forgot to turn off his microphone.

Tens of millions of viewers heard the once-arrogant man speak in an almost humble tone: “Can't you give me a chance, even if I'm a little late?”

“Zhou Jihan, feelings that come too late are meaningless.”

You fell for me a minute too late, never knowing that by the time I liked you, I had already used up all my courage.
