The Ninth Prince's Roadblock to Self-Destruction

In the woods outside the capital of Xiliang, Chu Yang sat on a tree branch, glaring down at the person below.

If he hadn't let his guard down and done something stupid, letting the bell fall into Xiao Zhongyan's hands, how would the dignified Ninth Prince have ended up trapped in a tree?

"Give it back!"

"Jump down and I'll give it to you."

Hmph! He'd have to be an idiot to jump!

Xiao Zhongyan looked up, arms open, waiting for him to jump down.

Jump? Or not?

Chu Yang decided that a real man knew when to bend and when to stand tall, and jumping wouldn't be embarrassing. So...

He closed his eyes and jumped.

Out of sight, out of mind. He wasn't going to die from the fall anyway.

Then Xiao Zhongyan got even more shameless!

"Xiaojiu! Come have a drink! Wine doesn't taste right without you."

"Chu Xiaojiu, do you still want your bell or not?"

"Chu Xiaojiu! I..."

Chu Yang kicked Xiao Zhongyan off his stool. Since when had Xiao Zhongyan turned into a parrot?

Xiao Zhongyan brushed off his clothes and moved to Chu Yang's side. After stealing a kiss, he dodged the cup Chu Yang threw at him.

"What I mean is, I like you. Are you coming with me or not?"

Chu Yang, always sharp-tongued but soft-hearted, stared at him, lost in a sea of tenderness. For once, his words were gentle and his heart even softer. "Did I ever say I wouldn't?"

One day, Xiao Zhongyan got drunk and wrapped his arms around Chu Yang, shouting...

Then he got locked outside.

"Open the door!"

"Get lost!"

Chu Yang threw a quilt out the door. "Don't talk to me before morning. Just looking at you annoys me."

"I'll catch a chill."

...Don't give in!

Hearing no response from inside, Xiao Zhongyan smiled smugly and leaned against the door. "And I'll miss you."
