The Qi family went bankrupt. The Qi couple tried to end everything in a fire, not sparing even their own child.
They had once been so arrogant, yet this was how things ended for them. It was heartbreaking, and a shame for the Qi family's well-behaved, clever young master.
A few days later, the Qi family's young master opened his eyes and found himself lying in a hospital room. A tall man he didn't recognize was sitting beside the bed.
Qi Sui slowly sat up, placed his hands on the blanket, and asked in confusion, "May I know who you are?"
The man took the laptop off his knees, stood up, and bent down to touch his forehead. "Qin Zhisong."
Qin Zhisong, the youngest business tycoon in Yuncheng.
Qi Sui gave him a well-behaved smile. "Thank you. Did you save me?"
Qin Zhisong patted his head. "Rest easy here. I'll take care of you from now on."
Qi Sui was slow to acknowledge the pull of his feelings, avoiding them even as he willingly sank into Qin Zhisong's care.
Faced with Qi Sui's avoidance and slowness to understand, Qin Zhisong was in no hurry. He stepped back to the boundary of family, waiting for Qi Sui to figure things out for himself.
But a secretly filmed video, taken out of context, made people gossip about Qin Zhisong. The Qin family came looking for him, and Qi Sui was thrown into a panic. All he wanted was to run away.
Qin Zhisong loosened his tie and glanced at Qi Sui, who was hugging a pillow. "Not tired?"
Qi Sui shook his head. "No. I have something to tell you, Mr. Qin. I want to move into the dorms from now on."
Qin Zhisong pulled him into his arms, his expression unusually dark. "Qi Sui, don't make me angry."
That night, no amount of apologies from Qi Sui could stop Qin Zhisong's "punishment."
Qi Sui always believed that Qin Zhisong was the person who had saved his life, until an anonymous letter told him that Qin Zhisong was the mastermind behind the Qi family's bankruptcy.
Staring at the evidence, Qi Sui didn't know what to do. He got into a random car, and his whereabouts became unknown.
A week later, a hand reached out of the darkness and dragged him into a corner. Surrounded by a familiar scent, he felt so wronged that his eyes reddened.
Qin Zhisong's eyes were filled with menace. "Suisui, had enough fun?"

Cheng Shu lost his mother when he was little. She hadn't died; she had been driven away by his gambling, alcoholic father. She got on a bus to the county seat and never came back.
Cheng Shu's response? Good riddance.
The town was small, with few people. Nobody had to wait until tomorrow to gossip about what happened today. His classmates liked to call him a "bastard." He didn't care. He wasn't much better than a stray dog by the roadside anyway.
At eighteen, as he entered his final year of high school, Cheng Shu had already planned his future: he would get a job after graduating. He never expected to return from a fight and find someone standing in the courtyard of the run-down little house, their only asset that could sort of count as property. No gold or silver, but a suit, a dress shirt, leather shoes, and a genuine leather suitcase. The guy was obviously rich.
Cheng Shu figured he was probably a con man.
Liang Shen turned around, took ten bills from his wallet, and said, "Make dinner."
Cheng Shu thought the guy was pretty nice. He took the money and counted it. "Four dishes and a soup. That'll last you half a month."
Liang Shen ignored him, took his suitcase to his room, and didn't come out again all day except to eat. Cheng Shu was happy to have some peace and quiet.
After half a month of living in peace, Cheng Shu was rinsing off in the courtyard when he turned around and saw Liang Shen standing there.
Liang Shen said, "I'll pay you. Come with me."
Cheng Shu replied, "What the hell is wrong with you?"
A few days later, Cheng Sanshun was hospitalized with terminal lung cancer. Cheng Shu grabbed a stack of medical bills, rode his bike back to the ramshackle house, and said, "Come pay the bill with me."
That very night, he slept in Liang Shen's bed. He slept soundly. It wasn't any different.
As they spent more time together, Cheng Shu started to like Liang Shen. He was an idiot with money to burn and barely said a word, except that he could be a little rough in bed.
From autumn to winter, the shabby little house looked rundown on the outside, but its interior had been completely transformed. Cheng Shu leaned against Liang Shen as he read. When he saw his mother return, he thought he was dreaming.
There was another person at home now.
Cheng Shu and Liang Shen went to the river. Some idiot kid threw a rock at Cheng Shu's head. Liang Shen held the kid down and made him swallow a bellyful of water. Cheng Shu sat beside them with blood running down his head, laughing at Liang Shen for being like a mad dog that never barked.
Later, Cheng Sanshun died, and Lin Qiuyun left again.
Liang Shen disappeared too.
Cheng Shu never returned to the town.

Yan Wan and Luo Weilou are lovers, neighbors on the same street.
We have been in the same class since childhood, but our personalities are at two extremes, one is talkative and the other talkative, the other is sweet-tongued and the other taciturn.
Yan Wang: "I hate people who pretend to be b!"
At the summer vacation class reunion, Yan Wang stood on a chair with a barbecue skewer and shouted resolutely, loudly.
He received applause and support from all the classmates. After all, pretending is the most annoying thing.
Amidst the applause, Luo Weilou pushed open the door and walked in. He was still wearing a very conspicuous uniform of the high school affiliated to him, with an expressionless expression and a smile on his face for the first time.
He knocked on the door twice and said, "Sorry to bother you."
The whole audience was silent and tried to reduce their presence.
Pretending to be a god of learning does not count as pretense!
Luo Weilou raised his narrow eyes and said, "Yan Wang, come home with me."
Yan Wang: As expected, I hate Luo Weilou the most.
In his senior year of high school, Yan Wang found that Luo Weilou seemed to have changed. He was very kind to him and obeyed his advice, but he was too meddlesome in his affairs and was more annoying than his parents.
Yan Wan had a wonderful day after receiving the love letter, but Luo Weilou blocked him at the door of his house and told him to study hard. He couldn't help shouting, "Luo Weilou, are you annoyed? Do you like me?"
Luo Weilou narrowed his eyes dangerously, "Sibby."
Yan Wang: "You really like me!"
Until the day when the college entrance examination ended, Luo Weilou came back from his father's house and found Yan Wan squatting in front of his house, soaked to the skin. He couldn't care less about the pouring rain and pulled Yan Wan into his arms.
Yan Wang grabbed his clothes and looked up at him, "Luo Weilou, please take me away."
Luo Weilou pursed his lips and said, "Okay."
Then they carried everyone on their backs, grabbed each other's hands, and fled in the dark.
