The Author Is Hunted by the Protagonist in Their Own Book

Author: Come on, tell me about your type.

Wan Song: I'm the gong.

Author: I don't want to write a gong-centric story this time. Next.

Author: Come on, what makes you special?

Qing Shi: I cry a lot.

Author: I don't want this story's protagonist to be too weak, either. All that crying is no good. Next.

Author: You... Put your sword away. We're discussing the plot. Why are you attacking me?

Cang Xing: I hate people who talk without acting. Get in.

Author: Who are you? Where are you going?

Cang Xing: You created me just last night, and now you're pulling up your pants and pretending you don't know me? I have only one attitude toward heartless people: kill them. Get in the book. I'm going to kill you.

Author: ...

System: You have ten minutes left. Please choose a suitable identity for yourself.

Author: I want to be the protagonist's father.

System: Are you sure? The protagonist's father dies in chapter two.

Author: ...Then I'll be his younger brother?

System: Okay. The younger brother falls off a cliff by himself in chapter ten.

Author: ...Then just tell me, who's still alive?

System: You haven't finished writing, so that's unclear.

Author: I'll write myself into being alive right now.

One minute left...

Damn it, what's wrong with my Enter key? Why did it put the thing I just added onto Cang Xing's arch-enemy instead?!

Basically, the author gets dragged into the book by the resentful protagonist Cang Xing, who wants to beat him up. Just before being transported, the author tries to be clever and give himself a golden finger, but his hand slips and his eyes blur, and he adds it to Cang Xing's lifelong nemesis, the legendary thief Xi Men Ying, whom Cang Xing has never met but desperately wants to kill.

System reset, script starts over. See how the author uses his outline to dodge Cang Xing's pursuit, eventually latches onto a powerful backer, and becomes the man behind the Demon King...

The entire novel is complete and ready. Please add it to your collection.
