Bungo Stray Dogs: Patient

The eight sufferings of life: birth, aging, illness, death, meeting those you resent, separation from those you love, the burning of the five aggregates, and not getting what you desire.

Life is suffering. Your sins and desires are one and the same; you were born impure.

All living beings are guilty. What could anyone have done wrong?

Your existence comes from my imagination.

You exist because of my delusions.

You are an illusion I carved into my heart.

Two people suffering from the same affliction, both lonely patients, wandering outside the world as if they might find solace in each other.

You and I are both broken.

We're both patients. But our illness isn't love, and neither of us loves the other.

An unconventional Dazai BG story, and not a happy one either.
