[Reborn!] Childhood Friends Are Meant to Stay Together Forever

Hi! The superpowered are here, so everyone else, get out of the way!

As a superpowered person, I have the standard-issue tragic life: a mom and dad who died young, a shattered home, a beautiful mental state, and a beautiful childhood friend. Oh, his name is Hibari Kyoya.

We grew up together. I got used to having him by my side, and he got used to my presence. We hugged every day, talked to each other, and fell asleep together.

Then one day, I realized something. Huh. We might go our separate ways when we grow up.

What am I supposed to do? I'm already used to a life filled with Hibari.

My superpower is telepathy, in other words, mind reading. I still can't control it very well, so most of the time I shut it off on purpose.

But whenever I accidentally read Hibari's mind, the only thing he says is: Love.

I thought we were friends who depended on each other, but Hibari told me friends don't kiss every day.

Huh?

Girl: just friends

Old Kyoya: ? Weren't we going to get married as soon as we were adults?

Girl: ?

Old Kyoya: ?

"Together forever."

You made that promise yourself. You barged into my life yourself. This was the promise you made, the curse you forged with your own words. You said it yourself.

So you can't turn back. You can't let go.

A prickly heroine who's a bit of a sickly little animal, all tough at home; a sweet childhood-friends romance with an old-married-couple vibe. Both are 100% in love with each other. This is a rehab piece I wrote to relax and enjoy writing romance, so please don't read it with your brain switched on. If you have to curse someone out, don't curse out Xiao Zhen, aaaaaah!

Theme: Cherish the person in front of you
