Strange murders have been occurring frequently in the Magic City lately. The higher-ups ordered the cases solved as soon as possible, but half a month had passed without any progress. Director Dai, who was over fifty, was so worried his receding hairline was nearly flat.

His deputy leaned in and whispered, “Director, I heard that person has returned to the country.”

“The consultant is coming back?!” Director Dai sprang to his feet, eyes shining.

At last, they were saved!

Director Dai was saved, but the criminals of the Magic City were in for a terrible time.

A man who would strike fear into the hearts of every evildoer was about to arrive in the Magic City!

On the plane to the Magic City, Chen Ji, who had been taken hostage and ordered to solve a case, calmly looked at the criminal in front of him, whose disguise was riddled with flaws. “If I were you, I wouldn’t show up in front of a detective carrying a weapon.”

The next second, the knife fell from the criminal’s hand, and the flight crew tied him up securely.

The [Doctor], who had stepped in because he couldn’t stand watching Chen Ji handle it: “That’s it?”

The murderer, who had mistaken Chen Ji for a pushover, stared in disbelief. “?!”

So as not to tarnish his protagonist’s reputation, Ling Jiang summoned up his courage and shakily played the role of his own tragic, powerful, and beautiful protagonist.

As the author, he did have an advantage.

He knew everything, from which apartment building the murderer in a case lived in to exactly how many undercover spies were in the police station.

What’s more, the System had specifically offered to help, becoming a fourth personality and giving him cheat after cheat.

The Professor for brains, the Doctor for brawn, and the System for cheats.

When the comic Multiple Personality Detective really did become a sensation throughout the universe, just as the System had predicted, Ling Jiang was finally able to meet the protagonist he had always hoped to become.

“Where’s my mentor?” Ling Jiang asked in confusion as he followed the System into the Cloud Mirror Hall, a symbol of glory in the Interstellar Empire. He looked around. There were plenty of familiar faces, but the person he most wanted to see wasn’t there.

The System: [He’s right in front of you.]

Ling Jiang stopped and looked up.

He suddenly realized that the gentle, elegant figure reflected in the mirror was exactly the person he had once dreamed of becoming.
