Blurb:

A scheming emperor who starts out plotting every day and later becomes a loyal dog x a gloomy, insecure bottom who later becomes gentle and dependable.

A young assassin who originally wanted nothing but to kill the emperor later wants nothing but to marry him.

Chu Beizhu: You've all misunderstood. His Majesty insists on making me his empress.

Sheng Heng: I want to deny it, but I don't dare.

In the thirty-sixth year of Mingde, Emperor Sheng Heng of Liang abdicated and became Retired Emperor, passing the throne to his younger brother, Sheng Xian, the Imperial Prince.

The next morning, Sheng Heng left the palace, accompanied by "Empress" Chu Beizhu.

Sheng Heng: Beizhu says his only wish is to live an ordinary, peaceful life with me.

Chu Beizhu: ...That's what you forced me to say.

Sheng Xian: Brother, I advise you to be a decent person.
