A Fake Romance, a Real Marriage

Fake Gentle, Actually a Psycho Male Lead x Free-Spirited Female Lead / Male Lead's Substitute / Love After Marriage

At the blind date her family had arranged, the man across from her wore gold-rimmed glasses and looked refined and gentle. In a soft voice, he asked Yan Zhizhi whether she would agree to a fake marriage to appease both their families.

Chen Jiyun said apologetically, "I'm sorry to put you through this."

Yan Zhizhi looked him in the face and smiled. "It's no trouble."

Not only was Yan Zhizhi not put out, she was actually enjoying herself.

The man in front of her looked almost exactly like her beloved, and this marriage had even come about because she'd used a little trickery.

But married life was nothing like Yan Zhizhi had imagined.

After the wedding, Chen Jiyun kept a regular schedule while she stayed up all night and slept all day. He was meticulous, while she was carefree and disorganized.

And he insisted on keeping her in line. He wouldn't let her drink at nightclubs or stay out all night, and she even had to tell him if she was going to be home late.

Yan Zhizhi gradually reached the end of her patience. Then, just as her beloved returned from overseas, she took the opportunity to ask for a divorce and moved out of their "marital home."

After they separated, Yan Zhizhi rediscovered the joy of doing as she pleased, partying without restraint with her friends.

But on the third day, Chen Jiyun knocked on her door and said, "It's been two days. Had enough fun? If you have, come home with me."

Yan Zhizhi was beside herself. "We're getting divorced. Can't you stop controlling me?"

Chen Jiyun kept smiling at her, but his smile was no longer gentle. It had become dangerously ominous.

He pushed up his glasses and said with a smile, "Nanzhi, you'd better not try to divorce a lawyer. After all, I haven't even pressed charges against you for fraud."

Only years later did Yan Zhizhi realize that when you deceive someone, you spend the rest of your life making it up to them.
