Son of Heaven

The young heir Shao Yanghui was said to bring misfortune to his parents. Raised more or less on his own at a country estate, he grew up naive and sheltered. One day, he found a handsome man on the riverbank, barely alive, and brought him home. From then on, his heart belonged to that man. Until one day, the man left without looking back, with five hundred soldiers at his side. Shao Yanghui chased after the troops for five whole miles before collapsing from exhaustion. Only then did he understand that the man he'd rescued was no ordinary person, and that he himself was nothing but a burden to him. * When they meet again two years later, Sheng Xiang is dressed in the imperial robes. Because of his past with Sheng Xiang, Shao Yanghui has suffered for years and has only two months left to live. Sheng Xiang searches the whole world for an antidote, willing to give up the rest of his own life to extend Shao Yanghui's. But when he uses his last strength to retrieve the antidote, Shao Yanghui stands atop the palace wall, grief-stricken. "Sheng Xiang, I curse you. I curse you with a long life of a hundred years, and nights without sleep." "I curse you with an ever-prosperous realm and a lasting dynasty, and descendants in every generation who know the pain of loving someone they cannot have." "I curse you to never be forgiven." This isn't a fluffy romance, but I guarantee a happy ending. Emperor top x young heir bottom Theme: Rekindling a love after heartbreak
