Don't Cry

AI. Healing. Sweet romance.

A quiet, ethereal blind girl and her grumpy “robot” (not really).

1.

The Tang family had two daughters. Outsiders had only heard of the eldest, Tang Luoqian, a beauty who was expected to marry the Luo family's son, Luo Zhan. Everyone envied her.

Few knew the Tang family had a younger daughter too, a girl named Tang Ran who was blind.

For Tang Ran's sixteenth birthday, she received a bionic robot.

On the day it arrived, her family was all in the front hall with her older sister, Tang Luoqian, preparing to welcome Luo Zhan on his first visit. Tang Ran was alone in a separate residence, feeling her way toward her robot.

Luo Zhan stood in the murky darkness. After a long pause, he spoke.

“Good evening, Master.”

2.

Luo Zhan came from a good family, had a devastatingly handsome face, and was brilliant. He was the dream man of countless girls in the AI field, but no one could get close to him.

There was only one reason: Luo Zhan liked beautiful eyes.

And finding someone with the kind of eyes he liked was harder than reaching the sky.

Later, Luo Zhan made a bet with his older brother. The wager was that he would impersonate a bionic robot for two months for that blind girl in the Tang family.

He never imagined he would fall for a blind girl himself.

3.

Later, a rumor spread that Luo Zhan had refused his engagement to Tang Luoqian, and the Luo family's old master had beaten him nearly to death with the family cane. He hadn't made a sound.

Everyone wondered who he had done it for.

A week later, the Tang family held a birthday party for Tang Ran, whose eyesight had been restored. After the party, the young woman got drunk and clung to a stone pillar in the banquet hall, quietly calling for Luo Zhan.

When those nearby heard her, they sneered, “The young master of the Luo family doesn't even want Tang Luoqian. She's practically blind. Does she think she can see him just because she wants to?”

Before they could finish, Luo Zhan came running in from outside, looking utterly disheveled.

The usually confident young master of the Luo family dropped to his knees in a panic, at a loss as he kissed the girl's trembling eyes

“Don't cry.”

“Will you marry me, Ranran?”

[The world gave me arrogance, but you taught me to fall.]
