A Faint Smile, a Soft Murmur: I Cherish You

Ridiculous! He was a great lawyer who based every argument on facts, yet he'd fallen for an online game player whose gender and appearance he didn't even know! Good grief, how crazy was that? For her, he switched to a new server. For her, he took in the entire clan she'd abandoned, all just to find out the tiniest bit of news about her.

A chance encounter in a virtual world,

a cool, distant voice, seeming both near and far,

lingered in his heart.

Then she suddenly disappeared.

After he chose to betray his clan and take in a group of homeless children for her,

she returned.

It was her, yet not her.

He lavished her with every luxury and collected every limited-edition mount on the server for her,

but in the end, everything fell apart when they met in person.

He forced a divorce in the online game, and she was utterly heartbroken.

He loved her in real life, yet hurt her too.

Was she herself, or someone else?

What was really between them: love, or a misunderstanding?
