I Picked Up a Little Wolfdog on a Snowy Night

[Amnesiac puppy at first, suited-up menace later: a chaebol heir × a web fiction writer who talks a big game but is actually hopelessly innocent | Both are each other's first | HE]

Fan Xiaoyu writes for an adult late-night reading app.

After her younger brother saw her manuscript and she died of embarrassment, she went straight to her cousin's place,

working as a travel scout in the Arctic Circle by day and holed up in a cabin writing at night.

On a night when a blizzard was raging, she dug a strange man out of a snowdrift.

His eyes were as clear as a Norwegian fjord, but he had forgotten everything about his past.

Since Ji Zhanbo bore some resemblance to the male lead in her story, Fan Xiaoyu took him in.

Whenever she worked on her manuscript, he would sit beside her, watching her eagerly and asking what her descriptions meant.

While she stammered through an answer, he simply leaned in and kissed her,

then deliberately licked the corner of her mouth. "Is this what you mean by 'good doggie' in your story?"

Then one day, a woman showed up claiming to be his "fiancee."

To get to the bottom of his amnesia, he decided to go with her.

He promised he would be back soon and told Fan Xiaoyu to wait for him.

She nodded and said she would, but then disappeared into the snow.

They met again at Fan Xiaoyu's new book signing two years later.

Wearing an expensive suit, Ji Zhanbo pinned her in the narrow space between himself and the wall in the stairwell.

His gaze burned as he repeatedly asked why she hadn't waited for him.

But she remained cold from beginning to end, as if he were nothing more than a deranged reader who wouldn't leave her alone.

Later, he really did go mad.

He forcefully made her do everything in her book, treating her like prey as a starving beast would.

He ravaged her breath, then pressed himself against her ear and begged in a voice full of desperation,

"Just take pity on me and stop running away, okay?"
