Prisoner of Autumn

[Neighboring big sister and scheming younger brother, she is seven years older, no blood relation, both are each other's first]

When Sui Xinxi was seventeen, Yan Zheng, who lived across the hall, suddenly lost both his parents. His relatives resorted to every trick in the book to fight over his property.

Passing by his home, she heard him crying. She coaxed the ten-year-old into opening the door and took him back to her home, where the aroma of food filled the air.

From then on, she had a soft, sweet little puppy following her around.

He trailed after her every day, turning to her when he was hungry or couldn't do his homework.

If she got out of evening study late, he would wait eagerly at the entrance to their neighborhood so they could walk home together.

Later, even after he got into college, he still called her "big sister" at every turn. Even his birthday wish was, "I want to be with Big Sister forever."

Sui Xinxi's friend was a little surprised. "Your little brother sure sticks close to you, huh?"

She waved it off, grinning carelessly. "He's just a kid."

But when Sui Xinxi was nearly thirty, her mother couldn't stand that her daughter still didn't have a partner and urged her to hurry up and stop being single.

To appease her mother, Sui Xinxi and her gay best friend hit it off and staged a fake relationship.

Her mother was extremely pleased with her "future son-in-law" and even put marriage on the schedule.

On the day of the engagement, Yan Zheng acted completely out of character.

He forcefully pulled Sui Xinxi away from the dinner table and dragged her back to the home that held so many memories of the two of them.

His gaze burned as he pinned her against the door and kissed her until her whole body went weak.

"Big Sister, please don't be with anyone else, okay? Look at me. I'm not a child anymore."
