(Mainly Touken Ranbu) A Glimmer of Light

A darkening, corrupted Taro Tachi x a sweet, gentle shrine maiden who believes in the gods

Wounded badly, Taro Tachi was abandoned on the battlefield by his cold-hearted master, left behind to cover her escape.

With an expressionless face, he swung his battered blade. At the moment he fell into darkness, his once radiant golden eyes flooded with crimson, turning into ominous, murky blood-red eyes.

O god enthroned upon the altar, now you are filled with despair, your soul clouded and unclean.

But when he opened his eyes once more, everything had changed.

"My god," she said with a smile, like light before dawn.

This innocent, stubborn little shrine maiden, warm with the kindness of humanity, was pushed away by him again and again, yet each time she came back to him.

In time, he finally understood: she was a ray of light in his darkness, and he was the faith she could not let go of.

Entwined together, they could never part again.

A few things to know:

1. Taro is a tsukumogami who was abandoned on the battlefield by a terrible master to be used as a disposable tool, and is on the verge of corruption. The little shrine maiden is the last believer at a declining shrine.

2. The girl is sweet and kind, with strong values. She believes in the gods, but her god has long since vanished, so Taro becomes her salvation.

3. The girl and Taro heal each other, I think. /rests chin on hand

4. A sweet, slice-of-life romance, with no scheming or intrigue. Why make them suffer? Can't they just fall in love?

5. Thank you to the lovely Yuqi for the cover! /sending love
